케어는 동물보호법 전면개정 프로젝트를 진행하고 있습니다.

1단계 국내법 분석이 2월 11일로 끝납니다.
2단계는 외국법 분석인데 윤리학, 실정법, 판례법 분석을 1년에 걸쳐서 진행할 것입니다.

많은 사람들이 우리나라 동물보호법이 낙후되어 있다고 합니다. 사실입니다. 그런데 그 이유가 무엇일까요? 우리나라 동물보호법 후진성의 가장 큰 원인은 동물보호법 개정에 영향을 주는 제 세력들의 윤리사유의 한계에 있습니다. 동물보호법 전면개정 프로젝트 2단계를 윤리학 세미나로 시작하는 이유입니다.

윤리학 세미나라고 해 봐야 두 번에 걸쳐 각각 세 시간 정도의 시간이 할애되는 것입니다. 윤리학이라는 광대한 주제의 구석구석을 뒤져보는 것이 아니라, 동물을 위한다는 자신의 판단을 되돌아 보는 시간을 가지고자 하는 것입니다. 성찰의 부싯돌로는 “공리주의 입문”(저자: 카타르지나 드 라자리-라덱 등, 번역: 류지한)을 이용하고자 합니다. 책이 던지는 각 주장들과 대결하면서 동물보호법을 진전시킬 수 있는 힘과 지혜를 얻기를 바랍니다.

We announce our upcoming seminar as a part of our project to revise the Animal Protection Act in S. Korea.

The current state of animal protection in Korea is limited by several restrictions, leaving room for improvement in ensuring the safety and well-being of animals. We must broaden our understanding of ethics, which plays a crucial role in shaping our actions and decisions towards animals.

The seminar will be divided into two sessions that will occur on a different date; each session will take about three hours respectively. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for attendees to reflect upon their own understanding of ethics in regard to animal welfare, and to broaden their knowledge and expand their perspective. It is our hope that this seminar will serve as a catalyst for positive change, helping to further our project for a revision of the Act. The seminar will be based on the book “Utilitarianism: A Very Short Introduction” by Katarzyna de Lazari Radek as a foundation for the discussion.

<First Session>
