양평 전진선 군수 사과 - 개 굶겨 죽인 사건에 대해 깊은 책임감 느낀다 > 동물 뉴스

양평 집단 개 살해사건이 4년, 햇수로 5년이 된 후 발견된 양평. 

케어는 양평군수의 사과 및 정부의 실태조사와 경찰의 철저수사를 요구하는 시민 서명을 올리고 여러분들의 적극적인 참여로 2만명이 넘는 서명을 모았습니다. 

양평군의 전진선 군수님이 22일 사건 관련 입장문을 내고 사과했습니다. (군수의 현장 시찰도 케어 라이브에서 보여드린 바 있습니다) 

 “용문면 광탄리 동물학대 사건과 관련해 군정의 총괄책임자로서 깊은 책임감을 느낀다. 안타까운 마음을 금할 길이 없다. 동물복지 향상을 위해 최선을 다하겠다. 군과 경찰서가 협조체제를 유지하면서 피의자에 대한 조사상황도 지속적으로 점검하겠다”

케어는 이에 더하여 군과 경찰서는 동물보호 전문가가 아닌 만큼 동물단체 활동가 및 수의사를 전수조사위원에 포함하도록 하고 개농장도 전수조사에 포함시킬 것 등을 요구하는 제안서를 제출할 것입니다. 

“레몬에게 자유를- 레몬프리” 번식산업 철폐를 위한 대국민 서명이 시작되었습니다. 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.

The recently uncovered Yangpyrong dog massacre persisted for four years before its discovery. CARE launched a petition calling for an apology from the Governor of Yangpyeong County, as well as a rigorous investigation by government officials and law enforcement. Through the active participation of supporters like you, the petition garnered over 20,000 signatures.

On the 22nd, Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jin-seon issued a statement, extending his apologies for the incident:

"As the head of the county administration, I feel a profound sense of responsibility in relation to the deplorable animal abuse case that occurred in Gwangtan-ri, Yongmun-myeon. I am filled with deep regret. I commit to making every effort to advance animal welfare. The county and police will maintain a cooperative relationship and diligently assess the progress of the ongoing investigation into the suspects."

In addition, CARE plans to submit a proposal advocating for the inclusion of animal welfare activists and veterinarians on the investigative committee, given the lack of animal protection expertise among county and law enforcement officials. The proposal also calls for the incorporation of dog farms into the comprehensive investigation.
